First thing first

Hi, my dearest reader. Sorry for came back this late, well eventually I'll try to be more active in this blog.

Lately, I've been working as a system analyst, system developer, and data analyst in a certain private school. And then, doing a part-time job as a trainer, yes, a trainer... A Coding Trainer. 

Who are my students? 

There is a variety wide range of ages. The youngest one is 8 years old, and the oldest one is about 15 years old. And lately, more people were older than them asking me what if they want to start to learn to code. And, of course, better be late than nothing.

Then a couple weeks ago, an acquaintance of mine asked me to join her and her friends programme as a interviewees at their school's Live on Instagram. And, of course, I agree to give them a hand.

The Topic

They have chosen coding as their main topic of the interview. And then we agree to use "Coding, the earlier the better!" as our programme's title.

What is Ransomware?

Ransomware (    ) is defined as a type of malicious software that block access to data and threatens the Data's owner to pay a sum of money if they want the data back. Some ransomware also threatens to publish the data for money.

A simple ransomware usually lock the system in a way which is not difficult for a knowledgeable person to reserve, but the more advanced malwares uses a technique called cryptoviral extortion which will encrypts the victim's files and document, making them inaccessible, then they will ask the victim to pay a sum of money to decrypt them. 

Ransomware may also encrypt the computer's MFT (Master File Table) or even the entire hard drives. Thus, ransomware is a denial-of-access attack that prevent users from accessing files since it is intractable to decrypt the files without dectyption key.

Ransomware attacks are typically carried out using a Trojan that has a payload disguised as a legitimate files.

Ransomware infection were first seen in Rusia between 2005 - 2006. Trend Micro published a report on case in 2006 that involved a ransomware variant which was detected as TROJ_CRYZIP.A will zip a certain file types before overwriting the original files, leaving only the password-protected zip files in the user's system. It also create a text file that acted as the ransom note informing the users that the files can be retrieved in exchange for $300.

In its earlier years, ransomware typically encrypted particular file types such as DOC, XLS, JPG, ZIP, PDF, and other commonly used file extensions.

Cara Melacak Blackberry Yang Hilang

         Jaman sekarang di dunia, terutama di Indonesia lagi booming yang namanya Blackberry. Harga Blackberry pun sudah bervariasi, mulai dari yang murah (mungkin dari second atau black market. *Not Recommended), but well it's your money, terserah Anda mau beli yang jenis apa dan dari mana. Tapi tetap saja kan harganya itu tetap diatas 500rb, bahkan menembus harga jutaan.

              Semakin mahal semakin bagus, itulah yang temen kuliah saya bilang. Well, ga sepenuhnya setuju sih (Sorry ya, Bro!) kan kita harus bisa milih - milih juga kualitas dan harganya, dan tentunya dipertimbangkan dengan kebutuhan dan fitur - fitur yang ditawarkan... Nah, kalau sudah dibeli tentunya harus disayang - sayang, apalagi kalau sampai hilang.... wah..... kata temen saya: "Nyesek!"

Tech News: 10 Mobile Phone Termahal 2011

          Mobile Phone or Handphone atau kalau dalam bahasa Indonesianya Telepon Genggam merupakan bukan barang yang mewah lagi, terutama bagi penduduk di daerah perkotaan. Dapat dikatakan bahwa Handphone telah menjadi salah satu kebutuhan pokok. 

            Jaman dulu, Handphone hanya bisa digunakan untuk menelpon, namun seiring perkembangan jaman, Handphone semakin lama semakin bertambah fiturnya mulai dari sms, mms, games, reminder, kalender, GPRS, bahkan untuk saat ini Handphone telah berkembang seperti layaknya PC ataupun Notebook (Laptop) dengan adanya Operating System yang terinstall seperti dalam iOS, Android dan Symbian. Akan tetapi, walaupun fiturnya telah bertambah banyak Handphone generasi masa kini semakin kecil dalam ukuran, sehingga mudah dibawa kemana - mana, dan tentunya dengan harga yang murah. ;)

Planning Pemasangan CCTV

           Baru aja liat berita di tr*ns7, tentang maraknya pencurian di Mall yang tertangkap kamera cctv. well, rasanya jaman sekarang cctv diperlukan bukan hanya di Mall atau perkantoran aj, bahkan banyak rumah sekarang yang dirasa perlu dipasangi cctv untuk alasan keamanan lho... :)

           Penasaran tentang cara pasang cctv, terutama yang wireless, soalnya kalau pake yang cable kayaknya agak repot ya... So, gimana sih cara pasangnya? karena rasa penasaran, maka di search lah di youtube, nah berikut contoh cara pasang yang simplenya... :)

Tech News: Chrome Remote Desktop (BETA)

           Belakangan tentunya ga jarang kita liat iklan - iklan yang berhubungan dengan google. Juga rasanya dah ga asing lagi di telinga teman - teman kalau saya menyebutkan sebuah kata: "Google Chrome". Ya, Google Chrome, yang merupakan sebuah web browser keluaran product dari si Mbah Google. Pemakaian cukup mudah, dan juga mendukung browsing relatif cepat (bukan maksud untuk iklan lho). :)

           Well, pada hari Jumat lalu, si Mbah telah merilis Extention (add-on) Baru untuk Chrome. Sebuah Extention yang membuat seseorang dengan menggunakan sebuah komputer bisa melakukan remote control terhadap komputer lainnya yang berada di dalam sebuah jaringan.
